What can you do with $OX

Once you have your OX Coin, there are several ways to make your $OX work for you.

1. Copy trading

Copy the trades of the best traders on OX.FUN by staking your $OX into a Copy Trading Vault.
You earn $OX based on the PnL from each Master Trader’s Vault you copy.

2. Prison

You can also lock your $OX in Prison to earn a share of the platform’s collected trading fees.

The longer you lock your $OX, the higher the APY.
Any $OX you lock in Prison gets temporarily 1:1 converted into xOX (locked $OX) and can be used as collateral.
Once the lock period ends, your locked $OX is set free - together with your returns.
In other words: your locked $OX earns you a healthy APY whilst you can also use it as collateral to trade. Passive and active in one go!

3. Trading

You can also use your $OX (together with all other deposited assets) as collateral to trade for a more active approach. As you trade any of the 50+ perps pairs on OX.FUN and close winning trades, you earn $OX. (Side note: closing losing trades also gets you a little something - $MILK, our secondary token)

OX Bridge and extra info

For clarity purposes, it has to be pointed out that there are two OX tokens in circulation, v1 and v2. OX v2 (OX Coin) is the token used on OX.FUN and the north star.

OX.FUN has created a bridge to convert v1 into v2 $OX in March 2024. Anytime we refer to $OX, we are talking about $OX v2 which is OX Coin ($OX).

If you are currently still a holder of $OX v1, you can deposit that $OX v1 to OX.FUN. It is then automatically locked in Prison for two months. To unlock and convert it into $OX v2, you must:

buy 3x the equivalent amount in $OX v2 on OX.FUN (on the Buy $OX page)
lock that $OX v2 also for two months in Prison
Once the two month period is over, your $OX v1 is burned and $OX v2 is minted automatically. The purchased $OX v2 will unlock as per the regular Prison process.
You earn APY on all deposited/locked $OX, both $OX v1 and v2. All $OX will also be temporarily converted 1:1 into xOX (locked OX) which can be used as trading collateral.

More $OX info

The $OX v2 max supply is 9.86B (identical to $OX v1 supply). At the end of the conversion period, max supply is capped at the converted amount, permanently reducing supply.
